Why don't you push him to the Dark Side fully, brother? His antics will take the heat off of you, especially if he's acting out and killing randomly.

He doesn't seem to be structured enough to be a rival to your power. He's in denial enough to fall without issue.

I ended up on that boat adventure with him and Kenobi's body was there. He yelled a bunch about not being responsible. I believe Kenobi would be good avenue to push him if you choose to do so.
[He hadn't enjoyed that trip down the River of Regret. Only the one with Maul had seemed to be productive, and he liked to think it had brought them closer.]
