I have been reading up on them. There appears to be a somewhat limited history per the Pthumerians, but there are a few sources that suggest that you can kill some Pthumerians. I'm willing to test it out. (He didn't feel it would be a loss if he did wind up permanently dead, but he sincerely didn't believe that would happen.)
I can technically be killed if certain circumstances are met. But I don't believe it will be much of an issue here.

Savage was right to wonder. Dirk could get lost in himself and no one had ever really been around in his life to properly experience that first hand. When all of your relationships had been virtual, there was a lot lost. Dirk didn't really know what was or wasn't normal either.)
